09/10/09The Problem with KentWondering about this campaign, and the research that led to it…  Who are these Londoners struggling so badly with the whereabouts of Kent? How far away did they think it was? 100 miles? 500? Further? Is this whole location of Kent misperception thing the belated opportunity for ridiculed Americans to get their revenge? ("Over half of Londoners think Kent is in Wales…") Or did focus group respondents, groping for the easiest excuse, offer up ignorance of the precise distance of Kent from their home as the reason they don’t go there – and the client behind the mirror, eager to have a straightforward problem to solve, take it at face value?
